Desi Movers Inc. aka Dynamic Movers, aka Dynamite Movers, aka Comfortable Movers – Made arrangements for a move with Desi Movers, (Found them in the Yellow Pages) on March 4th, 2008.
Their man Jason, (donʼt know if that is his real name) assured me the
cost for a 26′ truck and two movers would be $60.00 per hour plus 1 hour travel time and that they were fully licensed and insured which Jason later confirmed on the telephone.
The movers show up over 1.5 hours late with no tools of any kind, no wrapping plastic and no wrapping tape. After two hours on site, one hour of which was spent on smoking breaks, they inform us the their truck is full which should have been impossible.
It is agreed that we will meet them at new home in 30 to 40 minutes or 1:10 PM. They do not show up until after 3:30 PM and when they do they park the truck on another street as opposed to our driveway. Before bringing the truck on site and unloading the driver wants to discuss money but is so
embarrassed it takes him another 10 minutes to try to justify and then present a bill for over $1,300.00!!!
After another 1 to 2 hours of constant arguing and the driver calling Jason on a cell phone that allegedly had only 2 minutes left on it is agreed that they will unload for a cash payment of $585.00, withhold a couple of leather cushions and I should go see Jason the following day to straighten things
out and get the cushions! (Jason did not have the guts to talk to me at the time)
Stupid me! I give these criminals the cash and they dump, yes, thatʼs right, they DUMP our belongings onto the Snow, Ice and Gravel of the Driveway while at the same time blocking my vehicle in the garage so that I cannot go anywhere! The wooden legs from our dining table & chairs and which have
3″ + or – carriage bolts were just thrown onto the webbing of the leather sofa & love seat causing several holes in addition to the other rips and tears.
I managed to take a photo of their truck before unloading. Not one single item had been wrapped or covered in blankets. Coffee table pressed against the side by side fridge sitting on the rough floor of the truck, etc., etc. – SuperGirl & Don Klees

Desi Movers Inc. – Post Two
On May 2008, I contacted “Desi Movers” from the Yellow pages ad and spoke with Jason. He quoted me $50/hour for 2 people and a truck. I mentioned I have a piano, he said he would charge $150 extra for it. I was moving from Scarborough to Pickering (27Km). He said it would take 5-6 hours and 1 hour extra travel time (because I do not have heavy furniture). We agreed over phone.
On June 17, 2008, 2 guys arrived named Moses and Kenny around 9:30am and asked for $400 as a deposit before they start. We gave them the money and collected a receipt (attached). They moved few things slowly to the truck and then charged $500 for the piano. We started arguing as $150 was agreed with Jason. I called Jason, he said he can not do anything, give the money to the guys and hung up on me. I called back several times and he did not pick up the phone. We were stuck in tough situation, so we paid the money. They continued moving very slowly. Around 2pm when our goods were all in the truck, Moses demanded another $500, unless he would not move the truck. We were shocked and did not know what to do, I wanted to call the police. Moses said if I call the police, they would not come as it is a civil case. I was so frustrated that I called “Dynamic Mover” from our community newspaper and talked with a guy named Altaf Hussain and described the situation. He said he will arrange a truck and call me back. While waiting for a call from Altaf Hussain, Jason called me and asked “If I contacted Dynamic Mover,
Dynamic is their people so give the money to Moses and get your goods in the new place”. I had no choice, ran to the bank and got another $500 for them. So, before they moved in my new place, which is only a 27km, I paid them ($400+500+500=1,400). They reached the new place after an hour (when it took us only 30min.) and parked their truck a few houses down when they should park in front of our garage door. Moses came with a final bill of $2,563.35(attached, so far we paid $1,400 cash); if $1,163.35 is not paid they are not going to unload the truck. We were so shocked and had no energy left to fight back. It was already 4pm, my husband is a blood pressure patient and he carries a disability licence. It was so much for him to take (he was already extremely tried by helping them upload the truck), He started feeling so sick, and I was so worried that he could collapse. While I was thinking about where I can get help, Moses came and threatened me “if you do not pay me now, I will take all your goods to our storage and come later to collect and will cost you a lot”. My husband said pay them as my husband was feeling so nervous and he looked very pale. Again He ran to the bank and got the rest $. They unloaded the truck and asked us to work with them as we wasted so much of their time on arguing and fighting. Moses and Kenny were so cruel and so rude, we requested them to put boxes inside the house but they dumped those in the garage. I spent a lot of time labelling those boxes.
They finished unloading (dumping in the garage) within an hour and in the process damaged my piano. As they left around 5:30 in the afternoon, they were laughing and singing so loud, making us feel stupid and foolish. While we were helping them upload and unload the truck, Kenny mentioned he dose not like to do this cheating job everyday but they are well paid. They have 2 bosses Robert and Jason. They took $2,500 for my small move. They damaged my piano which will cost me $1,000. – Kazi Haque

A Complete extortion / scam / nightmare.
They quoted me $40 per hour plus one hour travel time or $50 an hour with the insurance. I went for the insurance rate.
They showed up at 9:30 am and received a $300 deposit from me. They had no wraps for the furniture. In fact, they were using MY packing tape to secure doors and drawers on my furniture.
They loaded most of my things onto the truck and there were still some things that needed to be loaded when they said that I needed to give them another $200 otherwise they can’t move the truck to the new location. I told them I wasn’t going to do that. They let me speak to their “boss” Jason who then said that unless they had the money in CASH they will not move the truck. I had to get the money for them. I had no choice.
When I arrived at my new location they were not unloading the items but rather sitting in the truck. When questioned as to why they were not unloading they said they were making up the final bill – $1,115.50! This for a one bedroom condo move of which I had spent three weeks packing up and moving the smaller items and boxes in cars so that the movers would only be transporting the furniture.
They said that unless it was paid in full they would not unload but rather take my furniture to a storage facility and then I would have to pay to get it out. I had no choice but to pay.
They damaged some of my furniture. When the move was over I wanted the driver to sign that he was finished. He wouldn’t. He needed “Jason’s” approval. Jason refused to give it – and when asked who their insurance company was he lied about that too as I called that company and they do not insure commercial movers. Yet I am charged $350 for haulage and insurance. What a joke – their job is to HAUL the furniture and I paid for insurance that doesn’t exist.
In addition to all this my family members had to assist with moving the furniture.
Do no use these people!!! They will rip you off and it will be a nightmare. It is extortion and they are violating laws. They must be stopped. – Catwoman

Another sleazy, immoral, poor excuse of a mover. I hired these clowns in 2005 and boy was I sorry!
The nerve of these people to use the word Quick in anything associated with them! Well, they were
quick all right, it only took them 16 hours to do a move that any other professional mover could have
accomplished in 5 – 6 hours or less!
Then, because it was in the wee hours of the morning when they finished, the move to the new
premises had to be postponed until the following day. The following morning we receive a telephone
call from their office demanding payment in cash or certified cheque delivered to them at once or
theyʼre not going to show up.
We finally got our property back later that day from these hoodlums but only after the Police were
called who informed Quick Boys that if they did not complete the move they would be charged with
theft.
No sooner do we get them straightened out about having to complete the move when 2 fully grown
men show up at the door begging to get paid, whining about having families who will not be able to
eat as they will be fired if I do not come up with the cash!
When it was finally over, about another 12 – 14 hours later, I paid by regular cheque.
Why is the Government of this Province and the Police for that matter, so willing to allow thieves like
these people to continue ripping off the public?
