Pacy's Moving & Storage said in April 28th, 2009 at 2:03 PM

My name is Pacy, and I own Pacy’s Moving & Storage in Oakville. I Will not stand for any more of this ” SCAMMING PEOPLE” and holding Your Belongings Hostage ! I was called to help out a wonderful couple who had everything they owned in a truck owned by this Comfortable moving company and the driver would not unload their belongings unless they paid 1400$ for 2 hours work!?!? After speaking with me, the police where there, and they took their stuff off the truck, but not before they broke many items.. I was there 10 minutes later and did the job in 2 hrs.. I have attempted to contact this owner many times, but have had no response back. I am now working with anyone who has been held captive by a moving company, to make sure this stops!! If you have ever been or you know someone who has had a problem with this or another company, please contact me directly 24/7 @ 905 510 7111 Pacy.. Together we can make a difference! Your New Best Friend..Pacy..

We are the couple Pacy is referring to who were scammed by these movers called comfortable. Only they are comfortable in scamming people. I had to call the police but they did not help. I am surprised with so many complaints against them they do not have a record for the police to help. It was disappointing. I subsequently saw these jerks at a mall in Scarborough. They did not see me but one thing I noticed that both these jerks were looking around while they were walking. It is clear that they are always on the lookout for running into anyone they scammed. I am going to go after them upon my return to Canada. These jerks should be shut behind bars
If you need a good mover use Pacy. He is very professional, excellent in terms of finishing the move on time and goes out of the way to accommodate our needs. Wish there were more Pacys around

The joke is these jerks from comfortable movers said that they don’t even go to Mcdonalds since it was junk food and they eat food from home. After scamming us for the move I saw the same jerk at Mcdonalds at a mall. Never ever use them. The so called owner who calls himself as Robert has his real name as Hussain. It is time some one takes serious action against them. Despite calling the police nothing happened

This same group is now advertising as Indo Pak Movers. They pulled the same scaml with our familly 2 days ago. I am currently following the directions found on the Ontario Government website http://www.gov.on.ca/mgs/en/ConsProt/STEL02_168950.html where they give instructions on how launch a formal complaint against the Consumer Protection Act. First you have to write a letter of complaint (I’m using their sample)and have it delivered to the address of the business which I have located using their previous telephone number of 1-888-741-8107 listed at postal code M1S 2V6, which is one of the houses numbered between 2 and 28 Brownspring Road, Scarborough. Indo Pak is operated under 1715130 Ontario Limited but I have not confirmed this is valid. The licence plate of the truck was Ontario plate 273 2WP.

I am proceeding to write the letter and send it by registered mail, and then will proceed with the Ministry of Small business to formally launch a complaint with the Ministry. I have gone to Google earth to look up 6 to 28 Brownspring Road and it looks like a residential area. They have now changed their contact telephone as 416-320-0916 which is a cell phone. The two young men: one white with a bandana and the other a black young man with an african accent.

If anyone lives close in Scarborough to Brownspring road, it would help if we could narrow down their street number.

Can you help?

In addition, I tried to fax my letter of complaint to 416-741-8776 and a man answered “Desi Movers`, but would not receive the fax. So I emailed my complaint to them at desimoverstorage at yahoo.ca

I have asked for a refund of $329.00 in mischarged costs.

Beware of Fraud Desi movers!!!!!!!!
I hired Desi movers to move stuff-I didnt have much
They asked me $40 per hour plus an additional $40 as service charge. So he said it will come to $120 and i agreed. They came in and soon the black guy started calling Jay–”The Fraud” on the phone. They asked for a deposit of $300 which I said I dont have. Black Guy then called Jay again on the phone and took $120 dollars from me. He moved few boxes to the curb, again started calling Jay on the phone and started demanding for $300 . I said NO–U agreed for $120. Jay asked the workers to stop moving. And they left my things on the road and left. I told him i will call the Police–He was saying go ahead. So finally They didnt move my things and robbed me of $120.I was in tears. I really wish something should be done against Fraudulent people like this

Beware, these assholes are now also operating under the name SUPREME MOVERS. They have various ads on Kijiji using various names. This guy “Jay” now guys by “Jonathan” and he quoted me $160 for everything in total, and ended up charging me $787! They took off with my $300 deposit, and I had to call the police cause these losers were threatening to leave with all my stuff in their truck. The worst part, I am 81/2 months pregnant, and they couldnt have been any ruder to me! Police said they couldnt do anything so these pricks took off with my $300 and didnt even move my stuff anywhere, cause they ended up dumping it all back out onto the dirty floor outside of my condo complex. I had to then get another mover asap, and pay again. I complained to the BBB, but it doesnt look like they are going to do anything about it. I want to take these crooks to court. Anyone else want to join in?

Hi there, I’ve noticed a lot of complaints online about Desi Movers…and for good reason too. I am a former employee of Desi Movers and now own my own company. So I am going to exploit them for the fraud artist (which is exactly what they are) here in this post. #1 There are more than 1 comany under the Desi Movers umbrella. there is Desi Movers, Comfortable Movers, Elizibeth Movers, A-1 Express Movers, Dynamic Movers and maybe more. They will all scam you exactly the same. #2 You will talk to 2 people over the phone…Ones name is Jason and the others name is Robert. They will give you a rate over the phone and if you are lucky they will tell you that there is a 3 hour mininum charge plus 1 hour charged for travelling time. The reality is that there is a 4 hour minimum plus 1 hour travel. #3 Extra Charges…here they come…So if it takes (for example) 5 hours to load the truck and get to the drop off location you will be charged 5 hours to unload the truck…even if it doesn’t take that long. There is a charge of $30 for every flight of stairs that are invloved…if there are 4 flights…you will be charged $120 for them. And 1 other thing…the flights are at the movers descretion which means you have a 3 step walk up to your house…$30. If there are any heavy items (heavy desk for example)…$30. Any appliances(fridge,stove,washer,dryer)…$30 each. Sofa Bed…$30. If there is an extra drop off of any kind you will be charged…you guessed it…$30. That’s all the extras i can remember at this point. #4 Now…when they arrive at your home you will be asked to sign a contract where all the above is written in small print…it will not be mentioned and most people just sign wanting the job to get started. You now are obligated to pay all of that. When the movers arrive at the drop off location you will be required to pay the whole bill at that point as they have all your items on the truck locked up. They will not unload until the bill is payed in full. #5 The Terrible Part…Your movers might just unload everything in the driveway/move room and leave you to do all the work yourself. The worst part about all of this is that The moving company is completely protected in all of this. if you call the police they will tell you that it is all a matter for small claims court and that you have signed a contract so you are obligated to pay it all. Your best bet is to not hire any of these companys and if you have to pay a bit more for a reputable comany like Tippet Richardson or 2 Men and a Truck…you will atleast know what you are getting into. So there you have it…right from the “horses mouth”. Don’t fall victim to these jerks. You will live to regret it and you will just be funding people that live of the gulability of others. Thank you. PS Not that it makes much of a difference…Desi movers aren’t owned buy Indians…they are from Banledesh. Just another lie.

We are victim of Indo Pak movers.
We would like to know what is the best approach as police denies any role of them.
Lengthy and time consuming civil suit will be useful or futile. We want effective measures to be taken so that Govt. may wake up to take punitive actions on Indo Pak movers.

Toronto Police Fraud Squad are now investigating them. Detective Peter Ward peter.ward@torontopolice.on.ca is the contact. You must have copies (scanned images or photocopies) which include the formal complaint to the Consumer Protection Branch lead investigator Wendy Christensen; copies of their contract; receipt of payment; full description of the events and people involved. Detective Ward has indicated he prefers to speak to the victims and it saved time to be able to email him a scanned copy of the complaint form. Good Luck all!

I called SUPREME MOVERS AND STORAGE AT 416-660-9081 to move my 2 Bedroom House. I was quoted on the phone 2 men and a truck, $40 an hour plus one hour for truck. We made arrangement for 3Pm, they keep calling me and pushing me to do it earlier, but I wasn’t ready, they showed up at 1pm. The two men (One of Indian descent and the other of African descent) came in. I was presented with a contract and the guy said they are in a hurry to sign the contract based on my agreement on the phone and demanded $450 deposit. So I did. I told them that van is too small, they assured me that if they need another van they will have it at my house in a hurry. They took some smoke breaks moved a few pieces of furniture into the van and told me it is full. They only got a few pieces of my living room into the van. I asked where is the other van, I was told to wait till they get their paper work done first, and they took twenty minutes in their van doing it all the while talking to their office. They returned with a bill of $1006.00 to have it deliever 25km away and that I must pay it before the truck moved from there. That’s when I realize it was a scam. My wife and my 8 weeks old baby was left harrased. We were emotionally distraught that something like this could happen to us in Canada, I called the police, they said it is a civil matter, that they couldn’t help me. I paid and got them to deliver it to my place, they dropped it off on the driveway and sped off. I couldn’t begin to tell you here of what we went through and how much more it cost me to move the rest of my stuff…I am still trembling in shock and disgust. This delayed us and caused us many undue suffering. My wife google this company and there were many cross references showing Desi movers (that was the name on the small truck/van), Indo-Pak and Supreme Movers. (Apparently they keep changing their names and numbers…be careful!) There were many people scamed by these company according to what we read online. So, please be careful ordering online any Movers you don’t know or was referred to you. I am willing to get involved to put these scammers in jail.

I called up Desi movers, they are completely immoral, heartless people. I had one room to be moved the total time took 2.5 hours. They charged me over 950 dollars. They charged GST which is illegal. The double charged me for the travel. They threatened me if I didn’t pay they would dump my stuff out. I really wish I had read all of these reviews before I called them, it ruined my day and my bank account. Thanks for nothing Desi movers!

I too was scammed by these movers on January 8th 2010. I was told that it was $40/hour per mover plus $40/for the truck. After they loaded all of my belongings on the truck they informed me it would be an additional $899.00 or they would dump my things in the snow. i was stuck and had to pay them. Now they are refusing to return my calls as there was damage to the walls and door fraames of my house and they destroyed one of my wood pieces of furniture. I also had boxes missing. Beware folks!!! I am going to CITY TV and asking Silverman for help!!

My parents were one of the latest to be ripped off by this crook.

He extorted us out off $1000 on Feb 19th.

If you want to help stop this guy, we need to call our local newspapers and have his ads pulled from the classifieds.

You can also flag his ads on kijiji.ca http://toronto.kijiji.ca/f-indo-pak-Classifieds-W0QQKeywordZindoQ2dpakQQisSearchFormZtrue

Arif Adnan Syed is also selling his SUV… I’m guessing some people are after him, or he’s decided to buy a new car out of all of our money.

I, like several other people from this thread – was ripped off by INDO-PAK-MOVERS…

If anyone is serious about starting a class action suit against this/these companies – please contact me.
I strongly agree with the many posts that we should be contacting the Yellow Pages/ Toronto Star/ Sun etc. and demand that these crooks not be ever allowed to advertise in these papers again…how this is allow to continue is beyond me.

Perhaps a group of us that have been ripped off need to plan a sting operation of our own and give these bastards a taste of their own medicine – I contacted the Police – who did nothing but protect the movers identities etc. They told me that this was a “civil matter” I would have to go to court if I wanted to “try” and get my money.

I see nothing civil about this matter.

Another victim of IndoPak. Same story about $40/hr plus two men and a truck and the job would be done in 4hrs tops. But judging from the above comments these people have changed names because I spoke to “Michelle” on the phone, and this time 1 white guy and 1 bangladeshi guy who called himself “Kyle” were doing the job. Kyle told me that’s not his real name, it’s his english name, but never told me his bangladeshi name. They had a good guy bad guy routine going, where the white guy gave me so much attitude and the “Kyle” was being the nice one. And the rest is the same scenario. No wrapping paper was brought, they just dumped everything in the truck, broke a few things. They came to our place demanding a $500 deposit for insurance purposes and said they would pay me the difference at the end but instead he presented me with a $1900 bill! Again the same story about keeping my stuff captive until I pay and Michelle on the phone threatened me to sue me if I don’t pay up or call the cops.

They came late, then started the move at 11am and went so slow. They barely had any moving equipment on them and were cursing the whole time. I have to mention that the truck was too small therefore they left a few pieces behind and said that another truck is coming to get that stuff, but of course none was available. Then “Kyle” said he would come back with me to pick up the rest of my things and no extra cost because it was their fault, but that never happened. Finally they finished loading the truck by 4pm and of course that’s when the nightmare began. We were exhausted and fed up so we put up the money, which is 2 months rent for me! In the end they unloaded our things quickly, apparently they built up speed now that they had the money and were eager to get rid of our stuff but left our couch on the driveway and took off.

I’ve been in shock and been beating myself up because of these a**holes. So please please, if anyone is doing something against this fraud, I want to help. I got a supposed business address in Scarborough from “Kyle” and I got their truck lic. plate if that helps. I want justice!

I used Supreme Movers in March 2010. I am their latest victim. I googled them when I first saw their ad.

Their ad was for $35/hr incl two movers. I confirmed this multiple times with them. They were incredibly polite and efficient in booking the appt and confirming but that’s where it ended.

The day of the moving date, the movers showed up nearly 2 hrs late. I called and complained before they even began. The movers introduced themselves and I advised of the 5 items I wanted moved. They informed me of a $400 REFUNDABLE deposit necessary to begin. I disputed it as I just spoke with the head office to complain. I called the head office immediately. “Vanessa” at the office informed me it was necessary for the move. I got the money and during that time they began loading on to the truck. The movers broke some of the crown molding in my property by carelessly moving my furniture and talking on their cell at the same time. I showed what they did, they acknowledged it and apologized.

I refused to hand over my 400 bucks until I got a receipt. I was handed a contract and I complained and called the head office again when I saw the contract had numerous changes on it that conflicted with the ad I saw. I still did not give my money or sign until I spoke with “Vanessa” again. She advised me I could cross out anything on the contract that doesn’t agree with the ad. I did. I also had a friend go over it again. The driver acknowledged my change and I amended his copy as well. I signed it got my receipt and they finished loading in less than 5 mins.

They than informed me that they had to fill out the itemized bill before we departed. I asked why they advised it was procedure. They went into the truck and came out 5 mins later with a 718.24 bill for my five items with all the inflated charges I discussed and crossed off the “phony” contract. I advised my original quote was 160.00. They advised “Vanessa” hadn’t given proper information.

I got back on the phone to dispute and put her on speaker phone so my 2 witnesses and the movers could hear. “Vanessa” changed her whole story and advised this is my new bill. She was now rude, monotone and unapologetic. I realized the scam right away and demanded my items out of the truck. I was advised of a $100.00 unloading fee or they wouldn’t be taken out.

I jumped on the truck because I knew they would take my items. I single handedly took each item out and handed them to my friends. I started going beserk on the movers who than threatened to call the police unless I got off the truck. I laughed and stayed on the truck guarding my belongings. They actually must have had enough because they began helping to take my things off and brought them inside safely.

When it was done they drove off WITH my 400 bucks. To me I consider this the same as if I was robbed on the street.

I am going to be the last person these guys rip off. Even though my story is not as horrible as some others, enough is enough. People work hard for there money and it is not right that nothing has been done about these guys.
By the sounds of this they have victimized hundreds of people for over 5 years and are known to police by numerous different business names (Desi, Dynamic, Indo-Pack, Supreme, Oshawa Movers etc)

I know lawyers, news writers and a local MP in the area they service. They have all been notified.

Anyone who wants to discuss this email me at prestigeptservices@gmail.com

Hello! I was the latest victim of Supreme Movers, Super Movers etc…on March 13th. They charged me $1138 for a bachelor apartment move and they didn’t even complete the move. The last load was left in the moving elevator on the ground floor.
The police were called and informed the driver that he would be charged with criminal mischief if he tried to extort any more money out of me after I paid what they demanded in order to complete the move.
I would like to take legal action against them, please let me know if you have any information or something in progress.
Thanks!

And we got scammed $2400 !!!! in the most brutal, cruel n vicious way that you can think of. After putting us through hell for several hours, in the end they left all of our stuff on the ground floor of the condominium and FLED. We spent the whole night trying to carry all this heavy stuff upstairs with no equipment and NO HELP. This was …hands down…THE WORST thing that has EVER happened to us. to say that it was ‘HELL’, is an understatement. The disgustingly cruel lady (“manager”) of these freaks at 416-320-0916 answers calls with different names. It was “Ashley” on the day that she was scamming us. I’ve never come across anyone so evil. I will DEFINITELY take action. I am already in the process of seeking legal advice/help. Im interested in gettin in touch which anyone who’s already been thru this and has attempted fighting back. I am another innocent victim of these theives. I called MTS Moving and Storage to book my move from an ad in the Renters News. Master Movers was noted on the contract that I signed and I dealt with Vanessa from Supreme Movers when things started going wrong. So who do I sue???? They operate undr all of these different names, have no address, etc.

After paying $800 deposit for a move for a 3 bedroom house, I was presented with an invoice for a total of $1,224 owing. I was floored!! The invoice charged me for the following items: $480 labour ($60 for 8 hours); $60 for travelling/gas; $540 for stairs (3x $180); $550 for heavy items (11 x $50); $30 for kilometres; $100 for miscellaneous. The total invoice came up to $1760 + $264 taxes at 15% for a total of $2,024. As I had already paid them $800, the balance was $1,224.

They basically had my house hostage unless I forked over $2,024!!!!

It gets better, they didn’t complete my move and I had to pay another mover to finish moving my belongings.

DON’T CALL THE FOLLOWING NUMBERS:

Supreme Movers (416) 660-9081
Master Movers (416) 277-1365
MTS Moving & Storage (416) 707-5186

I would love to join anyone who is trying to sue this company. The BBB wrote off my submitted complaint as a information only. The detective with the police is of no help at all. Silverman Helps no longer exists.

These guys will keep doing what they are doing and we can’t fight them individually. I would be more than interested in joining with anyone else who has been scammed even if it just to see these guys put out of business permanently and not granted a business registration, licence plates, insurance, etc. to operate a moving company.

mercedez1973@ymail.com is my email address.

My partner and I were also scammed by Indo-Pak movers on March 28, 2010. The procedure seems to be exactly the same as the rest of you guys, and our bill came to a shocking $2,400. (It seems like they are getting bolder and are starting to charge more!) We called the police and at first they said it was a civil matter and we had to pay what we’d “agreed” to, until one of the cops noticed some discrepencies in their contract, and he ended up calling a detective. So in the end, we only ended up paying $900.

We’d also really like to join up with people to take action against these guys. But in the meantime (since the police don’t seem to be much help), we are thinking of taking some vigilante action against them. Specifically, we’d like to follow their truck out at the end of this month and try to intercept before the next victim can sign a contract. I’m not sure if it’ll work or not, but I’d LOVE to screw up some of their business and help someone else at the same time. Right now, we have two addresses for them: 6 to 28 Brownspring Road and 1370 Kennedy Road, both in Scarborough. If anyone has any more information about where their trucks are parked, or who knows anyone who might be willing to call them out on a false move, please email me at sigridjohnson@hotmail.com

Thanks and good luck to you all!

So i went ahead and signed the contract along with $500 desposit, after 30 mins they asked us for another $500 and said its for the insurance of the goods, etc. so i went to the bank and gave them addional $500. by around 4 pm, they made the bill of $2916 when it was supposed to be way les than that. I than tried contacting the their office and got told its either we pay the bill or they will take me to court. I told them you could drop back the stuff back in the house and they refused till i pay another $500. I ended up having to pay $2900 because all my stuff was in the truck and they scamed me because over the phone and over face to face they told me false information and told me to dont worry about what the contract says. However, after paying $2900, they threw the stuff in the driveway of the place we were suppose to move to! We went thru hell with this company, the whole point of having movers was that we didnt have to move, and not only they threw the items on the driveway, they damaged a lot of the stuff. I called the company and they told me they billed me for 13 hours, and the movers left it in the driveway cause of that! I paid $2900, first they gave me wrong information and told me not to worry about what the contract says, than they do this to us? I wish i found this site a day ago, right now my stuff is sitting in my driveway and im inside my brand new house.

Same story, but different company. I found these despicable people on Kijiji under the name Family Movers 416-722-8660. The bogus invoice was under the name Master Movers but after doing research, I discovered it’s all the same as Desi, Indo-Pak, A1, Al-Pac, Dynamite, Dynamic, Elizabeth, Comfortable and any new names they’ve resorted to using.
My idea of fighting back is to get all your friends to ‘book’ moves.
Also, please contact the Fraud Squad of Toronto Police. Though it’s deemed a ‘civil’ issue, I feel like they must be able to do SOMEthing, given the huge number of people that have been scammed. The more people, the higher likelihood of being able to put forth a criminal case. http://www.torontopolice.on.ca/fraud/ Phone:416-808-7300

Congrats to all you people who helped putting these crooks behind bars. Today’s news (May 20th, 2010), the owners of Desi Movers (Father and 2 Sons) were arrested for frauds and scams just like this one described. They operated under 20 different buisness names. I couldn’t be happier because this same scenario happened to my family 2 years ago. They have arrested 6 people and are looking for more. Please contact 55 division and let them know what happened to you. I don’t care if we get money back as long as they will not be able to screw anyone else and are behing bars. Today is a happy day knowing that in some cases, justice does prevail.

Please pass around!

All the postings and complaints made on different municipal and federal websites, including ours, were finally observed, thank God. These criminals are now behind bars where they belong.. all 16 of them. It was all started by their father who made a million dollars in a year, drove a Benz and collected welfare and filed low taxes.

These guys had about 16 moving companies with different names, so people wouldn’t distant themselves from using their services.

These are the company names they operated with: Indo-Pak Movers, Desi Movers, Supreme Movers, Comfortable Movers, Dynamic Movers, Dynamite Movers, Elizabeth Movers, Pacific Van Line Moving Inc,, Master Movers, A1 Express Movers and Xpress Movers.

Please forward.
